| P4.5.2 Effective Strategic Planning: Two Day Training Programme: 3 and 4 June 2003 |
| |
| 90% of all strategic planning and business improvement initiatives fail to deliver any benefit whatsoever. |
| |
| Total failure is the number one deliverable for most strategic planning processes! |
| |
| WHY? |
| |
| Over the last decade i have undertaken considerable research into the factors giving rise to business strategic planning failure and catalogued numerous factors that give rise to failure. |
| |
| Need for Comprehensive and Systematic Analysis |
| One of the most significant factors is the failure to undertake comprehensive and systematic analysis of the strategic environment and business condition. |
| |
| Another is the failure to develop comprehensive, thorough, strategic plans down to the individual activity and task level that are clearly measurable and actionable. |
| |
| JAR&A Approach |
| The JAR&A approach to effective strategic planning is discussed in some detail on our web site in terms of the STRATSNAP© Strategic SnapShot process and the STRATPROC© Strategic Planning Process. |
| |
| Client Satisfaction |
| In particular the page on the Executive Strategic Workshop reports on our executive strategic workshop methodology and reports an extremely positive vote of thanks from a satisfied client. |
| |
| Rigorous and Robust Approach |
| Collectively, the tools and methodologies reported above provide a rigorous, robust and highly effective approach to effective and successful strategic planning focused on results. |
| |
| Overcoming Factors Giving Rise to Failure |
| This two day Effective Strategic Planning training programme and workshop will discuss the factors giving rise to strategy failure and how to overcome them, drawing heavily on personal experience and case histories. |
